ESAU & HUEBER delivered two more eco-friendly brewhouses in January (Company news)
ESAU & HUEBER delivered two more System Nerb brewhouses into the United States in January. A 60 hl fully-automated 3-vessel brewhouse with eco-friendly VarioBoil wort boiling will be the heart of production at Utepils Brewing, Minneapolis, MN, USA. A 1 hl MiniBrau+ pilot brewing system will help to educate students in Sustainable Brewing at Kalamazoo Valley Community
UTEPILS BREWING, located in the Bryn Mawr neighborhood of west Minneapolis, will receive shipment of their new brewing equipment still in February. The location of the new brewery was home to the Glenwood Inglewood Water Co. and the Fruen Mill throughout the late 19th and much of the 20th century, but has sat vacant for many years.
ESAU & HUEBER was selected as the principal supplier of all relevant equipment for beer production beside tanks. Once the brewery opens, a state-of-the-art 3-vessel brewhouse with a knockout capacity of 60 hl will help to develop their business. UTEPILS BREWING is also the first customer in North America
who decided to go with the eco-friendly Nerb VarioBoil, an extremely primary energy saving wort boiling system.
Beside the brewhouse, also peripheral equipment like water systems, CIP plant, milling, and yeast propagation will be realized by ESAU & HUEBER. The brewery is equipped with the fully-automated WinBrew® Process Control System.
For educational purposes – the KALAMAZOO VALLEY COMMUNITY COLLEGE just recently started a degree in Sustainable Brewing – a 1 hl MiniBrau+ pilot brewing system was delivered to Kalamazoo, MI, USA. ESAU & HUEBER was responsible for planning and manufacturing the complete system from malt milling to bright beer tanks. Also KVCC decided for the VarioBoil wort boiling system as an example of best practice for sustainability in brewing.
Another specialty is the installation of a complete energy monitoring system for demonstration of all energy flows during brewing. Hopefully KVC C’s program will help – together with equipment from ESAU & HUEBER to making the world a little bit greener.
