Beviale Summit 2021: The beverage industry is looking forward to meeting in Nuremberg in the fall!

Everyone has been waiting a long time for this: The beverage industry will meet again live and in person! The current situation gives cause for optimism and so the newly designed Beviale Summit will be held for the first time in the Exhibition Center Nuremberg on November 9 and 10, 2021. Renowned speakers and industry insiders, current and relevant topics from the beverage world as well as from business, science and society, company presentations, the European Beer Star awards ceremony and the "Night of the Winners" - all this makes up the attractive concept of the high-quality industry event. The focus - after the months-long dry spell - is on personal exchange and networking. The Beviale Summit is another member of the Beviale Family, the global network for the beverage industry of the NürnbergMesse Group. From industry experts for industry experts - this is the motto of the first Beviale Summit 2021. It serves the exchange of experience, further training and development, and offers participants a platform on which they can name and highlight current and relevant topics and jointly search for solutions. At the same time, the program provides a wide range of impulses to prepare for the challenges of the future. Renowned speakers and experts from the industry as well as business, science and society will contribute both in the plenary sessions and in the forums. In addition, companies from the supplier industry, associations and partners will be presenting themselves at table-top areas and in special communication lounges.

"We are more than happy to finally enable the beverage industry to meet again at a live event in these difficult times with the Beviale Summit," says Andrea Kalrait, Executive Director BrauBeviale and Beviale Family at NürnbergMesse. "The plans of the Bavarian State Government to restart the trade fair in Bavaria from September 1, 2021 make us very optimistic. In numerous discussions with our customers and partners, the urgent desire for a platform for exchange was expressed. We are now taking this into account with the Beviale Summit." The basis for the Beviale Summit is the framework hygiene concept for conferences and congresses of the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs. "We therefore have to limit the number of participants this year, and the program will only be in German," says Kalrait, explaining the concept for the industry meeting in Nuremberg.
New start with top-class program

The content focus of the Beviale Summit this year is on the beer industry, the heart of BrauBeviale and Beviale Family. For future events, all beverage industries will be included. "As co-organizers of the Beviale Summit, we are pleased and also proud to be able to offer such a high-quality conference program at the very first industry summit. In addition to the individual lecture blocks on a wide variety of topics along the beer value chain, the awards ceremony and the "Night of the Winners" of our international beer competition European Beer Star 2021 will set an exciting and at the same time festive accent on the first day of the event - and all this at the proven location on the exhibition grounds in Nuremberg," Roland Demleitner, Managing Director Private Brauereien Deutschland e. V., and Stefan Stang, Managing Director Private Brauereien Bayern e. V., are looking forward to the two-day event next fall.

The Beviale Summit will start on November 9, 2021, with four parallel forums: the Future Workshop on Beverage Innovations will present ideas and concepts for beverage production. The tried-and-tested EXPORT FORUM German Beverages will examine the topic of exports from various angles and with the help of best-practice reports. The "Young Talents Summit" has been created especially for the topics of the next generation of beverage producers as part of the Beviale Summit. The central topics of energy and sustainability will be addressed in another forum.

The contributions in the plenum deal with current challenges as well as inspiring food for thought for medium-sized businesses. Specific problems and possible solutions will be discussed in various panels on the topics of reusable packaging, pools, etc., as well as aspects of digitization and the markets of the future. In his keynote address at the start of the Beviale Summit, trend researcher Dr. David Bosshart of the Gottlieb Duttweiler Institute, Zurich, will be suggesting that markets be reanalyzed and market cultivation re-evaluated: "Living with the virus - the departure into the new world of manufacturers, customers and retailers". After looking at the markets, Dr. Friedrich Glauner of Cultural Images® Wertemangement, Grafenaschau, will show what challenges the changes in society and markets pose for the future orientation and management of medium-sized companies.

The award ceremony for the European Beer Star 2021 will ensure excitement and a festive atmosphere, with the "Night of the Winners" evening event rounding off the first day of the congress. One of the co-initiators of the Beviale Summit is KONZEPT & SERVICE GmbH. Partners in the program include the Romeis Institute, Doemens Academy and VLB Berlin, K&A BrandResearch, leading beverage associations, representatives of the GFGH, LEH, gastronomy and well-known publishing houses.

Andrea Kalrait and her team, as well as the Private Breweries Association, can hardly wait to offer the beverage industry a platform before the end of the year: "We all have difficult times behind us and most of us are still in the middle of them. That makes it all the more important to exchange ideas and stick together. The Beviale Summit will make this possible this year. After such a long time, we're delighted to finally be able to welcome many familiar and new faces from the beverage industry to Nuremberg again in person."
