The Irish native joined CCEP DE in May 2019 as Managing Director Commercial. He has systematically driven the further development of the Sales and Marketing divisions, making a significant contribution to the improved profitability of the German business unit. Additionally, he has navigated customer relations and the business through the Corona pandemic with great prudence.

Galvin has many years of extensive management and leadership experience in both Europe and Asia Pacific. Prior to joining CCEP DE, Galvin was most recently managing director at bottling company Coca-Cola İçecek, responsible for Pakistan. From 2008 to 2015, he served as managing director of Diageo in Indonesia.

Galvin takes over from Frank Molthan (61, pictured left). Molthan, who took over as chief executive officer for Germany in summer 2016, is scheduled to join the supervisory board on Jan. 1, 2023.

Damian Gammell, Chief Executive Officer of CCEP, said, "Frank Molthan has played a pivotal role in transforming the business in Germany and bringing it back on track for growth during his time as Chief Executive Officer. Frank Molthan has worked very successfully for Coca-Cola for over 30 years and has created a strong foundation for further success. Now I look forward to continuing the journey we have started in Germany with John Galvin."
