Hassia’s Elisabethen Quelle Receives Organic Mineral Water Seal
News General news
Further growth for the Organic Mineral Water Quality Association: Hassia Mineralquellen GmbH & Co. KG, based in Bad Vilbel, Hesse, has received the coveted Organic Mineral Water Seal for its “Elisabethen Quelle” mineral water brand. This makes Elisabethen Quelle—following Carolinen—the second brand from the Hassia Group, which is successful throughout Germany, to feature the Quality Association’s blue seal on its labels.
Supported by all major organic associations—including Bioland, Demeter, Naturland, Biokreis, the Federal Association of Natural Foods and Natural Products, and the Association of Organic Food Producers—the Quality Association’s Organic Mineral Water Seal applies the proven principles of organic farming directly to our most essential foodstuff: water. With its strict guidelines, the Organic Mineral Water Seal guarantees that every beverage bearing this seal consistently meets the highest standards of quality and purity. At the same time, it requires mineral water companies to actively promote water conservation, manage their springs sustainably, adhere to social standards, and maintain transparency toward consumers.
Frank Stieldorf, Managing Director of the Bio-Mineralwasser Quality Association: “We are pleased to welcome Elisabethen Quelle as the 14th mineral water brand in our steadily growing community of dedicated mineral spring operators. For consumers, this means another tangible boost in quality and safety. At the same time, this expansion also takes us another big step forward in actively protecting the last remaining pure water sources. After all, organic mineral water is not only the modern-day purity standard for water, but also a holistic protection concept for our most valuable foodstuff, which is brought directly to the regions by our partner companies.”
Nicole Dutta-Körner, Head of Marketing at Hassia Mineralquellen: “For us at Hassia, doing business means taking responsibility for future generations. As a family-owned company with deep regional roots, uncompromising quality standards and sustainable practices are an integral part of our identity. Being awarded the Quality Association’s Organic Mineral Water Seal—which is supported by all major organic associations—is therefore, on the one hand, a wonderful affirmation of our work and the outstanding quality of our mineral water. And on the other hand, it is the logical consequence of our commitment to nature and our springs as part of our brand strategy.”
