The Mohrenbrauerei brewery is launching the first non-alcoholic beer in the company's history. Vorarlberg's oldest brewery combines full beer flavor with conscious enjoyment in this new product – thanks in part to innovative nanofiltration. With the expansion of its range and modernization of its brewery, the company is setting the course for the future after a stable financial year. Mohrenbräu Non-Alcoholic is now available in grocery stores and restaurants.

Mohrenbräu is expanding the range of non-alcoholic beer options in Vorarlberg. Just in time for the new year, the Dornbirn-based private brewery is launching “Mohrenbräu Alkoholfrei” in innovative 0.33-liter lightweight glass bottles. The new product fills a gap in the range and meets growing demand. Non-alcoholic beer is trending across Europe, especially among the younger generation. Austria is a pioneer in the consumption of non-alcoholic beverages.

“As the most popular beer in Vorarlberg, we see an alcohol-free alternative from our brewery as a clear mission. We deliberately took our time to develop the right recipe and the best beer taste,” reports Managing Director Thomas Pachole. The result is impressive. The nationwide unique dealcoholization plant ensures full-bodied beer through innovative and gentle nanofiltration.

“Mohrenbräu Alcohol-Free is dry and tart. This makes it a perfect addition to our beer family and as familiar as if it had always been there,” says master brewer Tim Groeger. Mohrenbräu Alcohol-Free is now available in packs of eight and in crates, just in time for Dry January and before Lent.

Future-oriented modernization and increased efficiency
Mohrenbrauerei held its own in the challenging beer market in the 2025 financial year with stable sales and a constant workforce. Highlights included the opening of the Anna brewery restaurant in Rankweil and the launch of the young Mo's brand of soft drinks. In addition to investing in an innovative dealcoholization plant and mill, the family-owned company set the course for a successful and sustainable future with numerous modernizations in the brewery.

A new grist mill and a new boiler, combined with the standardization of containers, increase efficiency and ensure quality. Mohrenbrauerei is investing around 50 million euros in the new logistics center in Lustenau by 2030. The planning work is on track. Despite the challenging situation on the beer market, Pachole is optimistic: “The beer market is becoming increasingly dynamic. With our non-alcoholic range, we are consolidating our pioneering role and combining innovative strength and taste with traditional roots. We have already proven this with Mo's and as a pioneer of the lightweight glass bottle.”
