NEW: Premium Bergwerkskorn from the 1507 line

At the end of 2022, the Echter Nordhäuser Traditionsbrennerei launched its first premium grain brandy from the 1507 line - the year in which the art of distilling was first mentioned in Nordhausen. Since then, the line has not only established itself, but has also won over lovers of premium spirits with its unique taste experiences. However, Edition No. 7, which will be available from 20 May, differs from previous editions: the grain brandy was stored 700 meters below the mining town of Sondershausen in Thuringia in a mine where salt is mined. At a constant 24 degrees Celsius, high air pressure and a dry, salty environment, the distillate developed a special maturity and strong flavor. The reason for this spectacular storage is the upcoming 900th anniversary of the town of Sondershausen in June 2025.

The 300-liter oak barrel (single cask) was stored underground for 21 months. The combination of the special salty environment and the depth created a very special grain spirit. In addition to its pronounced spiciness, it also impresses with notes of cream caramel, vanilla and oak. Around 900 bottles will be available and will sell out quickly, as premium spirits combined with artisanal expertise are still in high demand. Each bottle is bottled, corked, labeled with love and care and numbered by hand in the handcraft workshop of the Echter Nordhäuser traditional distillery.

The amber color, the elegant dark brown label and its unusual storage make the premium Bergwerkskorn a very special gift. Due to its exclusivity, the Echter Nordhäuser Traditionsbrennerei, the home of the Echter Nordhäuser brand, only offers the 1507 series in its own Echter Nordhäuser Hofshop (Grimmelallee 11, Nordhausen/Harz) and in the online store www.traditionsbrennerei.de. The recommended retail price is 39 euros incl. VAT for the 0.5l bottle.
