Roel Annega hands over the reins as CEO of Gerolsteiner to Nils Hemmerle

Gerolsteiner, the market leader in branded mineral waters, is completing the planned transition in the position of CEO: Effective August 17, 2026, Nils Hemmerle (48) will take over from Roel Annega, who will then leave the company on August 31, 2026.
Nils Hemmerle is joining from Henkel Consumer Brands, where he currently serves as Managing Director for Central and Eastern Europe, overseeing the entire consumer business. Previously, he managed the European sales business as VP Sales Europe. Nils Hemmerle joined Henkel in 2004 and initially held various sales and marketing roles in Germany. He subsequently held senior international marketing, sales, and management positions, including for the Benelux region. Nils Hemmerle is married and the father of two children.
