The beverage company PepsiCo has reduced its sustainability targets in the packaging sector.

According to the new targets, PepsiCo wants to reduce its consumption of virgin plastic by 2% each year until 2030. The company also plans to use at least 40% recycled material in its plastic packaging by 2035 at the latest. Previously, the target was 50% recycled plastic by 2030.
In addition, the company intends to focus on key markets in future where its sustainability efforts can have the most positive impact. It also wants to take better account of external factors that are beyond the company's control.
