Created by Italian spirits expert Giuseppe Gallo, Savoia Americano Rosso is a ready-to-serve "vino aperitivo" that combines vermouth from Turin and bitters from Milan with the sweetness of Marsala wines from Sicily in one bottle. The aperitivo features a complex flavor profile that is a perfect balance of red bitters and sweet vermouths for a range of classic Italian cocktails. Julien Hemard, Managing Director Pernod Ricard Germany, said, "The trend of aperitifs continues unabated. With Savoia, we're bringing new premium impetus to the category and tapping into the growing popularity of classic cocktails, such as Americano, Negroni and Spritz."

Reinventing the classic
Produced in a historic artisan distillery in Turin, it is based on the historic Bitter di Milano recipe from 1897 and uses Marsala wine from Sicily aged for 14 months in oak as its base. The bitter flavor and aroma profile is achieved by adding a number of different botanicals. Savoia Americano Rosso has a ruby red color and is a complex blend of bitter orange and gentian. Hints of angelica, quassia wood and white cardamom give it a balanced aroma and gentle spicy notes. Intense notes of Marsala Fine DOC wine and herbal notes leave a lingering "Amaro Dolce" taste.

Exceptional design
Designed by the Stranger & Stranger agency, the bottle is inspired by Italian architecture and the Mole Antonelliana in Turin, and pays homage to the Savoia royal house that made aperitivo and vermouth popular throughout Italy. The high-quality wooden lid is adorned with the Savoia label, with the horizontal infinity symbol, representing the infinite mixing possibilities. The material of the cap was chosen in reference to the wooden barrels in which Marsala DOC matures. The unique structure of the glass represents the different flavors, regions and ingredients of Italy. Special: Savoia has 18.6 ABV in reference to the year 1861, when Italy was united by the royal house of Savoia.

Drinks
Poured as a spritz with Prosecco and garnished with three green grapes, 4cl Savoia Americano creates an exciting new taste experience. To create a classic Americano cocktail, you can infuse 4cl Savoia Americano with a splash of soda over ice or mix 8cl Savoia with 4cl dry gin to make a Negroni and garnish with an orange twist.
