Completed by the end of summer 2023, the new powder blending plant will allowarom to triple its production capacity. The main products will be integrated all-in-one solutions for energy drinks and ice cream stabilisers.

The new facility covers 450 m2 and has been arranged along the relevant product flows.... A further 1,400 m2 of dry storage, cold storage, shipping area and offices will complete the new area. The technologies meet the highest standards in food safety and hygiene, are partially automated and allow for high performance or flexible programming.

The expansion complements the adjacent "House of Taste" - here everything revolves around the exploration of taste: laboratories, sensory testing space, product development capabilities and a workspace for customer collaborative prototyping for beverage, confectionery and ice cream innovations.

Michael Kornberger, CEO at esarom: "Energy drinks are forecast to grow by 7% per year globally until 2028 - the highest growth rate in the non-alcoholic beverage category. Our country is famous for the success story of energy drinks and its ingredients made in Austria enjoy great popularity worldwide. We develop a large number of individual energy drink recipes every year - flavour and active ingredient blends are important ingredients of them. So the next logical step was to increase the production volume of our caffeine-vitamin active ingredient blends to serve the growing energy drink market."

Stephan Mölls, COO at esarom: "This step is a milestone on our path to business growth. We have been monitoring the existing tools and implementing the latest technologies.
