Riedenburger Brauhaus Impresses at the 2026 Finest Beer Selection with Four Awards
News General news
Four awards out of five beers entered: Riedenburger Brauhaus achieved an outstanding result at the 2026 Finest Beer Selection.
A particular highlight is the 91-point award for the new non-alcoholic Dunkel. The beer was launched just a few months ago and expands Riedenburger Brauhaus’s non-alcoholic lineup with a dark specialty featuring a full-bodied malt aroma.
“We are particularly pleased that our new Dunkel Alkoholfrei achieved such a strong result right on its first entry. This award shows that enjoying non-alcoholic beer today doesn’t have to mean compromising on taste or quality,” says Managing Director Maximilian Krieger.
Three other specialties from Riedenburger also impressed the judges with outstanding ratings:
• Riedenburger Weizenbock – 95 points
With 95 points, this robust, top-fermented specialty beer achieved the best result among Riedenburger’s entries.
• Dolden Dark Porter – 93 points
The porter thus builds on its previous successes. Back in 2021, it was awarded gold at the Meininger’s International Craft Beer Award and honored as “Porter of the Year.” In 2024, it followed that up with a silver medal at the European Beer Star.
• Plankstettner Maibock – 91 points
This seasonal specialty beer is produced in collaboration with Plankstetten Abbey and is brewed according to the abbey’s original recipe.
The Finest Beer Selection is one of the most prestigious beer competitions. An international panel of experts conducts blind tastings of the submitted beers and evaluates them based on sensory quality criteria.
“We’re proud of these results, which confirm that we’re on the right track: high-quality organic ingredients, traditional brewing craftsmanship, and the continuous development of our product line,” said Krieger.
