The ninth BORCO "World of Whisk(e)y" Festival was a complete success

On 11 June, the ninth "World of Whisk(e)y" Festival took place at the Museumshafen Övelgönne in Hamburg. Culinary and whisky fans could go on a foray through different whisk(e)y countries. With its extensive programme, the festival is unique in Hamburg and has long been an insider tip beyond the borders of the Hanseatic city.

"With around 300 visitors from Hamburg, Germany and the world, we once again spent an unforgettable day in Hamburg this year, enjoying delicious drinks, great food and a colourful programme," says Michael Rennies, Senior Marketing Manager for Whisky Brands at BORCO.

The programme curated for the whisk(e)ys had numerous gustatory highlights in store for the visitors*. Various brands, such as EVAN WILLIAMS, ELIJAH CRAIG, TAMDHU, GLENGOYNE, PIKE CREEK, NIKKA , TEELING and THE BUSKER took centre stage and could be tasted. In addition to summery drink creations from the HOME Cocktails team, the festival amidst the picturesque harbour backdrop provided the perfect Sunday treat. Live music acts MARTEN PULMER and SUiT transformed the Museumshafen into a musical feast that had something for all tastes. In addition, the SHANTY CHOR BUTJENER BLINKFÜER provided musical highlights. The day was rounded off with harbour tours, during which visitors* could get to know the whisk(e)y craft at various tastings.

In addition, well-known Hamburg faces such as FABIO HAEBEL, BROOKLYN BURGER BAR, AusterRegion and JING JING created unique moments of enjoyment tailored to the whisk(e)ys. All visitors can already look forward to the tenth World of Whisky Festival in 2024.
