A sad announcement from the folks at House 6 Brewing in Ashburn. The brewery will stop production on its beers next month and the current owners will be leaving, The Burn reported on August 23.

“It is with great sadness that we announce that House 6 Brewing Co. will cease production in September,” the statement on social media reads. “As it embarks on a new journey, House 6 will no longer continue brewing operations and current ownership will be moving on from the company.”

They go on to say “we were unable to find our place in the ever-changing post COVID landscape.”

It’s not clear what is happening next — while beer production will cease, House 6 says it has lots of beer on hand and the tasting room will remain open for a period of time with updated days and hours.

They also hint that there are plans afoot for future uses for the space (possibly new owners?) — but no details are provided.

In the meanwhile, the brewery — which opened on Atwater Drive near One Loudoun in the summer of 2018 — is planning a 5th Anniversary Extravaganza/Last Dance celebration on Saturday, September 9th.
