"The beverage industry is my professional home. The task of working with my fellow board members and shareholders to develop Team Beverage into a platform that drives our industry forward has been a fulfilling challenge. At Team Beverage, we have colleagues with competence and expertise who will take over the baton and set new accents. I am pleased that I will be able to continue to set a new course for Team Beverage and other ventures in the beverage industry in an advisory and supportive capacity, but that I will also have more time for private concerns," says Uwe Albershardt.
"We have respect for Uwe Albershardt's decision," says Team Beverage Supervisory Board Chairman Holger Penndorf. "However, we are pleased that we can continue to count on him as an excellent industry expert with proven expertise on strategic issues. As a leader from the very beginning, he has played a major role in successfully establishing Team Beverage AG as a service provider in the beverage industry. On behalf of the shareholders and the Supervisory Board, we would like to express our sincere thanks to him.
Dr. Thomas Spiegel, CEO of Team Beverage AG, concurs: "Uwe Albershardt has made a significant contribution to the growth and success of the Group over the past 14 years and has left his mark on Team Beverage. For this, personally as a friend and professionally as a fellow board member, I would like to express my sincere thanks. Based on an industry-leading scope of services, we believe that the Team Beverage Group is excellently positioned for the future in all business areas and with all managers and colleagues. We offer holistic solutions today and in the future so that partners and customers can operate successfully and innovatively in the competitive environment."
Following the departure of Uwe Albershardt, Team Beverage's Executive Board will remain reduced to two people: Dr. Thomas Spiegel (CEO) will be responsible for the Convenience & System Customers business units, as well as the new gastivo platform in the future. In addition, his areas of responsibility include IT, Finance and Business Development. Jens Armbrust will remain responsible for the Retail division and will now take over Wholesale/Gastronomy. In addition, he will in future also be responsible for Own Brands, Corporate Marketing, and Human Resources.
