Vivaris: New 0.33l containers introduced - Mio Mio launches gastronomy offensive 2022

Vivaris Getränke GmbH & Co. KG, a subsidiary of Berentzen-Gruppe Aktiengesellschaft, is making the Mio Mio brand more diverse, and not just by adding new varieties. In addition to the previous 0.5l container, eight of the ten Mio Mio varieties for the catering trade are now also available in the 0.33l longneck glass bottle. At the same time, Vivaris is launching an innovative idea on the German market under the Mio Mio brand with mate mix and cola mix, which makes mixing easy and more hygienic thanks to an "underfilled bottle".

"With the new container, we are positioning ourselves more broadly in order to establish Mio Mio in the national gastronomy business in the future. With the familiar 0.33L returnable container, we can open up additional sales channels with our brand. The initial focus is on the trendy and system gastronomy. Here we will make the Mio Mio brand even more visible and introduce new consumers to the products," says Vivaris Managing Director Tobias Wiesner.

In addition to the well-known Mio Mio flavours Mate Original, Mate Zero, Mate Ginger, Cola Original, Cola Zero and Guarana Pomegranate, the two recently introduced varieties Orange + Caffeine and Lemon + Caffeine are also part of the longneck portfolio. The products are also vegan in the new guise for all varieties, climate-neutral and produced with 100% green electricity - just like the established 0.5L returnable container.

In addition, Vivaris is introducing a real innovation specifically for nightlife gastronomy in parallel with the new container. "For some years now, we have seen that mate - just like cola - is becoming increasingly popular as a filler for long drinks. For easy and hygienic handling in the gastronomy, we are now launching an underfilled bottle in which mixing is possible directly", explains Christian Baggeroer, sales director for gastronomy at Vivaris. With the so-called mate mix and cola mix, the 0.33L container is filled with 0.275L of mate or cola. At the point-of-drink - filled up with approx. 4cl of any spirit - popular nightlife drinks are created in no time at all. "The initial reactions from the scene have been consistently positive," says Baggeroer.

"The Mio Mio story continues - with the two recently launched flavours Orange + Caffeine and Lemon + Caffeine just like with the new longneck container and a matching product novelty for nightlife, we continue to expand our position as a national branded goods manufacturer," Wiesner concludes.
