Sustainability activities awarded again: Berentzen Group receives EcoVadis gold medal

"We are very pleased about the renewed award from EcoVadis. This clearly shows that our sustainability management is at a very high level based on objective evaluation criteria," says Laura Schlochtermeier, Head of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) at the Berentzen Group.

Around 100,000 companies have taken part in the global provider's sustainability ratings to date. The survey is considered one of the leading ratings in the field of CSR and is based on international sustainability standards such as the Global Reporting Initiative and the United Nations Global Compact. The ratings are compiled by sustainability experts from various specialist areas. The aforementioned result places the Berentzen Group among the top two percent of participating spirits producers.

"CSR is an integral part of our corporate strategy and not just lip service. The award proves that. It motivates us to identify and implement further projects. For example, we are currently setting up a sustainability-related risk management and control system. In addition, we will use potential for improvement identified by EcoVadis as part of the rating to further optimize processes and structures as part of our Group-wide sustainability strategy," concludes Schlochtermeier.
