Rhodius Begins Operations at Aluminum Bottle Filling Line
News General news
Rhodius Mineralquellen und Getränke GmbH & Co. KG has begun operations at its new filling line for resealable aluminum bottles at its headquarters in Burgbrohl.
The beverage bottler had announced the investment about a year ago.
To integrate the “Alu Bottle,” an existing can line was extensively expanded in collaboration with equipment partner KHS within nine months. New unloading, filling, labeling, and inspection technology was integrated into the existing infrastructure without disrupting ongoing operations.
The line achieves a throughput of up to 50,000 bottles per hour and is thus intended to support both smaller market launches and the industrial scaling of successful products. The company is deliberately focusing on comparatively low minimum order quantities. For the 400-ml Alu Bottle, the minimum order quantity is 80,000 bottles; for the 250-ml format, it is 100,000 bottles.
“Today, beverage brands face the challenge of standing out on store shelves while simultaneously implementing economically viable concepts. With the Alu Bottle, we offer our customers a packaging solution that enables them to strike exactly this balance and opens up new opportunities for innovation,” says Hannes Tack, managing partner of Rhodius Mineralquellen.
