Feldmuehle GmbH, Uetersen, has run into difficulties. The manufacturer of coated label papers and flexible packaging papers intends to carry out the necessary restructuring as part of insolvency proceedings under self-administration.
On May 27, 2025, the company filed an application with Pinneberg Local Court to open insolvency proceedings under self-administration. Following the management's application, the Local Court of Pinneberg ordered provisional self-administration. Andreas Romey, Eckert Rechtsanwälte Steuerberater Partnergesellschaft mbB, Hamburg, was appointed as provisional administrator.
As EUWID has learned, production at Feldmuehle in Uetersen is currently interrupted and is scheduled to resume next Friday, June 6, 2025.
Feldmuehle's portfolio includes wet-strength and alkali-resistant label papers as well as packaging papers. The paper mill's high order backlog and the future viability of the products manufactured give hope for the successful restructuring and continuation of operations.
