fritz-kola is further strengthening its international presence and taking a decisive step in the Spanish market: as of September 1, 2025, Distribución Directa Integral (DDI), Spain's leading beverage distributor and part of the Barcelona-based brewery Grupo Damm, will take over distribution of the Hamburg-based indie kola brand.

With DDI, fritz-kola has gained a strong partner with national reach. The company operates 25 locations and supplies around 50,000 food service and retail customers throughout the country. In addition to building up a local team, the new partner is the logical next step for fritz-kola in Spain.
focus on visibility and growth
The aim of the collaboration is to further increase the availability and visibility of the fritz-kola brand throughout the Spanish market. DDI's sales team, with 255 sales representatives and its own brand managers, is a key lever for successful brand implementation.
Florian Weins, Managing Director of fritz-kola, emphasizes the strategic importance of the change: "fritz-kola is growing very successfully in Germany and disproportionately strongly in Europe. By switching to DDI, we are leveraging the enormous potential in the Spanish market and consistently driving forward our internationalization."

In parallel to the new launch in Spain, fritz-kola has also started exclusive distribution in Portugal in collaboration with Masoliver and its local network since the beginning of June. This strategic alliance makes it possible to consolidate the brand's presence in the Portuguese food service sector and create a favorable environment for its further development.

The change of distribution partners in Spain and Portugal is part of a long-term internationalization strategy. fritz-kola is pursuing the goal of further consolidating its independence as an indie kola brand, consistently exploiting existing market potential and sustainably strengthening distribution in other European countries.
