Shared love for Hamburg: Holsten EDEL launches limited edition design with Hamburger Goldkehlchen

Holsten EDEL is teaming up with Hamburger Goldkehlchen to release a limited edition of the popular beer can – featuring the unique Goldkehlchen design. Two Hamburg originals, one city, one statement: with this special edition, Holsten EDEL and Hamburger Goldkehlchen are once again demonstrating their deep connection to each other and to their home city of Hamburg. Beer and music fans alike can look forward to a real highlight with collector's potential.

Hamburger Goldkehlchen's concerts have long been a phenomenon in Hamburg's cultural life: tickets usually sell out within minutes. Just in time for the big concert on September 27 in Hamburg, the joint special edition can is now available in stores as a special expression of their close friendship with Holsten EDEL. The design of the special edition comes from the design agency Arndt Benedikt, which has shaped the visual appearance of the Hamburg Goldkehlchen from the very beginning. Here, too, it is unmistakable: these are clearly Goldkehlchen, and the can bears their creative, humorous signature. It features numerous lovingly designed birds, which have long since become a recurring trademark of the band. The design is complemented by reinterpreted elements from the Goldkehlchen logo, such as the skull and crossbones and the heart. Symbols typical of Hamburg, such as the anchor and mermaid, underscore the close connection to the Hanseatic city. A special detail is the Goldkehlchen, which has confidently taken its place on the horse instead of the familiar Holsten knight. In this way, the central brand elements of both partners are combined to create a harmonious and humorous overall picture. In terms of color, the can remains true to the classic EDEL colors, and the distinctive lettering has also been retained to ensure clear recognition in stores.

Limited availability – just in time for the concert
The limited edition Holsten EDEL special can has been available since August 13 and will hit stores in the coming weeks – just in time for the Hamburg Goldkehlchen concert on September 27 at the Barclays Arena. A total of 400,000 cans in the exclusive design will be produced and will be available for a short time. This is a great opportunity for all Goldkehlchen and Holsten EDEL fans to get in the mood for the musical highlight of the year.

Close friendship born out of love for Hamburg
The choir of around 70 men, “Keiner kann singen – ihr werdet es lieben” (Nobody can sing – you'll love it), thrills thousands of people at every performance. What began as a spontaneous moment in a pub in 2016 is now a choir celebrated throughout Germany with special songs that are always accompanied by good humor, a large dose of humor, and a northern German attitude to life. In recent years, a close friendship has developed between Holsten EDEL and the Hamburg Goldkehlchen, characterized by a warm attachment to their hometown. This even culminated in June 2024 in a joint song entitled “Für immer” (Forever), which made it straight into the top 10 of the iTunes charts. Holsten EDEL and the Hamburg Goldkehlchen enjoy celebrating with their fans for a good cause. This year, the donations collected at the concert and livestream, as well as the deposit donations from the Holsten stand and visitors in front of the Barclays Arena, will go to the inclusive network barner 16 from Altona, which promotes art and cultural productions by artists with and without so-called disabilities.
