At the 18th Meininger's International Spirits Award ISW, the most important competition in the spirits industry, the traditional distillery LANTENHAMMER receives the coveted award "Distiller of the Year 2021" for the second time in a row and defends its title as best distillery of the year after 2020. The fine noble distillates were able to shine at the awards ceremony with a total of 24 medals in addition to the special awards for "Spirit of the Year", "Fruit Brandy of the Year", "Liqueur of the Year", "Fruit Liqueur of the Year" and "Egg Liqueur of the Year".

Winning titles is already something special. But to repeat a success and defend a title is indescribable. That's why the entire LANTENHAMMER Distillery team watched the live stream of the Meininger's International Spirits Awards ceremony on 8 December. At 11:08 a.m., the time had come. From the historic vaults of the publishing house, ISW organiser Christian Wolf and Fizzz editor Tim Allgaier announced the winner of the "Distiller of the Year 2021" award. When the name LANTENHAMMER rang out, the jubilation over the title defence and the renewed award as Distillery of the Year in Hausham, the home of the traditional Upper Bavarian manufactory, could not be overheard.

In contrast to previous years, this year almost 1600 spirits from all over the world were evaluated by an international jury of 79 spirits experts at monthly tastings and awarded medals. Among the international field of participants, the products of the LANTENHAMMER distillery once again stood out in particular and collected the coveted medals like no other distillery. Among them were two Grand Gold Medals, 17 Gold Medals and five Silver Medals. With the two awards "Fruit Brandy of the Year" and the cross-category award "Spirit of the Year", the apricot brandy matured in mulberry wood barrels from the 1928 RARITÄTEN series stood out among the award-winning premium distillates. But also the LANTENHAMMER Coffee Liqueur and the LANTENHAMMER Williams Liqueur were able to defend their titles "Liqueur of the Year" and "Fruit Liqueur of the Year" from the previous year. In addition, the RARITAS Egg Liqueur refined with orange spirit impressed the expert jury and secured the special award as "Egg Liqueur of the Year". Overwhelmed by the flood of awards and medals, Master Distiller and Managing Director Tobias Maier expressed his gratitude to his team: "I am particularly proud of the tireless commitment and passion of each and every one of them. These awards are the reward for our sustainable quality thinking and years of further development in all areas. At the same time, these awards are motivation and incentive for the future to make our products even better. All according to our guiding principle - "For the love of pleasure".

With these awards, the LANTENHAMMER distillery, which has stood for first-class noble distillates from master craftsmen since 1928, has once again set an exclamation mark and intends to continue to inspire and convince more and more connoisseurs throughout Germany with a rich variety of fine spiritual products. The best way to experience this passion for goodness is to visit the newly designed multimedia world of experience at the LANTENHAMMER distillery on the beautiful Schliersee and taste the products.
