Modern brewing technology for the Riedenburg adventure brewery
News General news
In mid-February, 18 beer tanks and a spent grain silo were installed in the new Riedenburg brewery building. The tanks are up to around seven meters high, weigh up to around 2.5 tons when empty, and each have a capacity of up to approximately 20,000 liters. They were lifted into the building through the roof hatch by crane and then assembled.
Together with the brewhouse, the tanks form the central plant technology of the future brewery. They create the conditions for precise control of the fermentation and storage processes, consistent quality, and efficient production. At the same time, they ensure the long-term further development of the product range and strengthen Riedenburg as a brewing location.
The tanks were delivered and installed by Gresser Behälter- und Anlagenbau GmbH from Regensburg. The spent grain silo complements the brewery's sustainable overall concept and enables the recycling of by-products in the regional economic cycle.
As part of the new experience brewery, brewing will become even more transparent for visitors in the future: during regular opening hours, guests will be able to watch the work on the beer tanks up close and gain insights into the processes of modern organic beer production.
The new building is part of the Riedenburg brewery's long-term strategy for the future. In addition to modern brewing technology, the company is consistently focusing on energy efficiency and fossil-free energy supplies. The brewery thus combines traditional craftsmanship with contemporary technology, while at the same time strengthening its role as a responsible employer and economic partner in the region.
“With the installation of the tanks, we are creating the technical conditions for efficient, transparent, and sustainable beer production,” says Managing Director Maximilian Krieger. Further construction phases will follow in the coming weeks. The new facilities are scheduled to go into operation in May.
