A beer experience for all the senses: Opening of the “Braukunstwelt” (World of Brewing) at the Maisel & Friends brewery in Bayreuth

Under the motto “4 ingredients, 1,000 possibilities,” guests experience how water, malt, hops, yeast, and the passion of the master brewers can create an almost infinite variety of flavors and beer styles. With interactive and sensory stations, the Braukunstwelt offers a fascinating adventure that appeals to all the senses and is second to none.

4 ingredients, 1,000 possibilities – explore the world of beer brewing like never before
The Braukunstwelt conveys in a unique way how master brewers create an incredible variety of flavors and beer styles from just four raw materials – water, malt, hops, and yeast – thus becoming true brewing artists. Each individual ingredient is presented clearly and in depth at the interactive stations to explain its importance in the brewing process in an understandable way. This is achieved with the help of state-of-the-art technology and the expert support of partners BarthHaas, IREKS, the Weihenstephan Research Center at the Technical University of Munich, and Doemens.

Together with them, Maisel & Friends has created a unique beer experience that appeals to all the senses. “There is no other place where so much expert knowledge about beer can be experienced at once. Bringing all this together is an achievement of our collaboration with our friends and partners,” explains Michael Feuerstein, managing director of our Bayreuth beer experience world. A must-visit for beer enthusiasts
The Braukunstwelt offers the opportunity to explore the individual ingredients and their impressive interplay in a way that is unmatched anywhere else. Not only do interested newcomers gain exciting insights, but the Braukunstwelt also provides amazing details for experienced beer connoisseurs such as master brewers, hobby brewers, and beer sommeliers. The master brewers at Maisel & Friends not only share their knowledge, but also reveal insider secrets and offer personal insights into their work and the creative ideas behind each new beer creation.

Exciting guided tour or individual tour
The Braukunstwelt is part of Maisel's Beer Experience and is open to both individual visitors and groups. Guests can explore the attraction independently with an audio guide. Alternatively, expert tour guides are available for public tours. Groups have the option of visiting the Braukunstwelt separately. Until December 31, a 25 percent discount is available on online bookings for the audio guide tour with the code “braukunst.”

Successful grand opening
Invited guests and partners were able to explore the Braukunstwelt during the opening ceremony on September 30. It will be open to guests from all over the world since October 1.
