Opening of the new SLYRS distillery

What a weekend! On Saturday, June 28, together with over 250 invited guests, we were able to open a new chapter in the history of SLYRS: the grand opening of our new, ultra-modern distillery right on the shores of Schliersee.
The atmosphere? Summery, warm, full of anticipation - simply special. Together with our guests of honor Alexander Radwan (Member of the German Bundestag), Olaf von Löwis (District Administrator of Miesbach) and Franz Schnitzenbaumer (Mayor of Schliersee), our Managing Directors Hans Kemenater and Steffen Brandt cut the symbolic ribbon - accompanied by many long-time companions, partners and friends of the brand.
Well-known faces such as Holger Stromberg, Markus Wasmeier, Lola Paltinger and Oliver Rauh also toasted this milestone with us. The band Flat Out provided the perfect musical accompaniment with relaxed live sound and a good mood.
On Sunday, we continued straight away with the Open Distillery Day: despite the heat and rail closures, around 1,000 visitors made their way to us - for guided tours, a morning pint, live music and plenty of whisky moments.
We are overwhelmed by the response - and proud of our entire team, who put their heart and soul, commitment and genuine hospitality into making this special weekend possible.
