Pulpex Partners with Perlen Papier to Produce Paper Bottles

Through a partnership with the British packaging technology provider Pulpex, the Swiss company Perlen Industrieholding, Perlen, has secured exclusive rights to produce fiber-based paper bottles in the broader DACH region.
The agreement covers the production rights for the paper bottles developed by Pulpex in Switzerland, Austria, Italy, and southern Germany. Perlen Papier is currently evaluating a suitable industrial implementation of the technology in these markets and will subsequently decide whether to commence production. According to the company, production could potentially begin in 2027.
According to Perlen Papier, the partnership with Pulpex further advances the company’s diversification efforts. In January, Perlen announced plans to strategically expand in the field of fiber-cast packaging—in parallel with its core business in newsprint.
