News General news
The family-owned Avdimetaj Transporte GmbH, based in Fahrweid/Dietikon, took delivery of nine new Renault Trucks D Wide 4x2 on June 20, 2026. With this investment, the company is further expanding its beverage logistics capabilities and relying on vehicles specifically designed for demanding distribution operations throughout Switzerland.
Avdimetaj Transporte GmbH has been active in national distribution logistics for many years and has strategically expanded its services to include beverage logistics. With these new vehicles, the family-owned company is strengthening its fleet to ensure reliable deliveries of beer, mineral water, and other beverages to retail locations. Managing Director Zijadin “Ziki” Avdimetaj officially accepted the vehicles together with his team and Operations and Fleet Manager Michèle Salvati.
For Demanding Distribution Operations
The new Renault Trucks D Wide 4x2 models are powered by a fuel-efficient 11-liter engine producing 380 PS. The automated transmission supports drivers, particularly in stop-and-go traffic, and contributes to a relaxed and efficient workday.
Flexible for Daily Use
To accommodate various transport tasks, the vehicles are equipped with both a standard CH-Rockinger coupling and a 3.5-metric-ton ball hitch on the rear crossmember. This allows for the use of various trailer types—from refrigerated trailers to two-axle fixed-deck trailers—depending on the application.
The body built by ORTEN Fahrzeugbau is also specifically tailored to the requirements of beverage logistics. With 18 pallet spaces, a 2-metric-ton lift, and a robust sliding-tarpaulin body with side access, it offers optimal conditions for daily distribution operations.
The equipment also includes a side-view camera and the Global cab with an onboard refrigerator, which enhances safety and comfort for drivers in their daily work.
Ziki Avdimetaj, Managing Director of Avdimetaj Transporte GmbH: “With these vehicles, we’ll be able to deliver goods to their final destinations even more efficiently, quickly, and safely in the beverage logistics sector. Our drivers are delighted with the increased comfort and performance of these new tools!”
Tarcis Berberat, Managing Director of Renault Trucks (Switzerland) AG: “We are very proud that Ziki Avdimetaj has once again placed his trust in us for this purchase. Thanks to our close collaboration with him and Michèle Salvati, we were able to jointly put work vehicles on the road that have been precisely engineered to meet the high demands of beverage logistics and offer maximum safety and comfort for drivers.”
Following the vehicle handover, Robert Orten, Chairman of the Board of ORTEN Fahrzeugbau GmbH, and CEO Tarkeshwar Rao also took the opportunity to personally thank Ziki Avdimetaj for the order.
