Fancy a soda, but prefer it to be fruity and low in calories rather than sugary? Then there is now something new to discover: the four light sodas from hella Mineralbrunnen. They not only taste fruity and light, they are light and fruity. That's because they contain less sugar than conventional sodas and also contain no sweeteners. So they are both less sweet and low in calories. On the other hand, at 6%, they contain significantly more fruit than many other soft drinks, and you can taste it! In addition to fruity lightness, variety of taste is also guaranteed, because hella's sodas are available in four different varieties: orange, strawberry, raspberry and rhubarb. Incidentally, it's not just the contents that are light, but also the handy 0.75-liter PET bottle in which the sodas are offered - especially practical for on the go! The new products "hella Limo Strawberry," "hella Limo Raspberry," "hella Limo Orange" and "hella Limo Rhubarb" will be available from March 2022 at recommended retail prices of €0.75 to €0.79 per single bottle and €4.49 to €4.99 per six-pack.

Summer will be colorful - with the light sodas from hella in no less than four fruity varieties
With "hella Limo Strawberry", "hella Limo Raspberry", "hella Limo Orange" and "hella Limo Rhubarb" the summer can come! Especially when chilled, the deliciously light sodas offer refreshing variety and, with a maximum of 19 kcal per 100 ml, are low in calories with full fruit enjoyment. Whether it's a garden party or a picnic with friends, a family outing to the seaside or a bike ride in the countryside - the new sodas from hella are a must-have. They are the perfect companion for warm spring and hot summer days and simply make life more colorful!

A clear trend: the new desire for light soda!
The market for branded sodas has been developing positively for years. The "light sodas" in particular are booming! In the period from 2017 to 2020, they grew by 22% and were thus the clear growth driver within the branded lemonade segment. The figures show that consumers increasingly want lower-calorie and lower-sugar alternatives, even for pleasure-oriented beverages such as lemonade. The new hella lemonade range therefore strikes a chord with many consumers. Thanks to the low-calorie recipe with less sugar and no sweeteners, but with 6% fruit content, it appeals to two groups at once: Passionate lemonade lovers and consumers who want to reduce sugar in their beverages but don't want to forgo enjoyment.

Small beverage science - the difference between classic sodas and light sodas
Did you already know? According to the guidelines of the German Food Code, classic lemonades can contain natural fruit ingredients, but they don't have to! Their taste can also be based solely on the addition of flavoring extracts or natural flavoring agents. And their usual sugar content is high, at least 7%. The product developers at hella Mineralbrunnen agree with many consumers and believe that more fruit and less sugar are also possible. That's why hella's new light sodas have a particularly high fruit content of 6% and contain an average of 4.4% sugar. Some of the sugar comes directly from the fruit, and no sweeteners are used to compensate. All in all, hella's light sodas contain only 18 or 19 kcal per 100 ml, depending on the variety, making them low in calories. They offer a fruity and light change of pace in everyday life.
