Major investment by Krombacher in bottling and logistics: First facilities put into operation
News General news
Just over a year ago, the Krombacher brewery announced its intention to invest over €100 million in the renovation of its bottling and logistics facilities in the Littfetal building complex over the next six years.
According to the company, this is the largest modernization project in its history. The brewery has now taken stock of the progress made so far and published an outlook on the next steps.
In the first construction phase, three new glass supply systems and four sorting machines, including sort box loaders and full box loaders, were installed and put into operation. According to Krombacher, these systems optimize the flow of materials and ensure significantly more efficient processing of empties.
The next major construction phase will begin in fall 2026, according to the company. The entire project is scheduled for completion in 2032.
