Veltins Helles Lager receives award at Trendtag Glas

The C. & A. Veltins brewery was honored with the “Product Innovation in Glass” award at Trendtag Glas 2025 in Munich. In the “Medium and Large Companies” category, Veltins Helles Lager prevailed against strong competitors. The independent jury of experts particularly praised the modern packaging design, the clear brand presentation, and the innovative appearance in the lager beer segment.

With its 0.275-liter returnable bottle in the traditional Veltins brand green, Veltins Helles Lager already made a fresh impression when it was launched in 2024. The jury particularly praised the successful combination of traditional brand image and modern design, which clearly positions the product in the competitive environment. The compact, practical container size is ideal for individual beer enjoyment and appeals particularly to a young, quality-conscious target group.

Jenny Kersting, Senior Product Manager at the C. & A. Veltins brewery and Frank Diebold, Head of Purchasing and Supply Chain Management, accepted the “Product Innovation in Glass” award for Veltins Helles Lager.

“We are delighted to receive this award, as it confirms the care and passion with which we developed Veltins Helles Lager as a team,” says Jenny Kersting. “With Helles Lager, we deliberately wanted to try something new and add a modern touch to our product range. The bottle not only conveys our brand DNA, but also brings a fresh impetus to the lager segment.”
