Leveraging the enormous national and international potential of our strong brands - with this commitment to a sustainably profitable growth strategy and a new division of responsibilities in its management, the Paulaner Brewery Group is positioning itself for the future.

Bundled responsibility for sales in Germany
An optimised set-up also includes the reorganisation of the organisational structure, which includes the distribution of responsibilities within the management. Paulaner is implementing a marketable, customer-orientated structure that takes account of the close intermeshing of on-trade and off-trade and interlocks the know-how in the catering and retail sectors more closely than before, thus making it available for more powerful distribution. With catering, retail and internal sales, all sales tasks for the German market will be placed in one hand.

Thomas Drossé to become Managing Director of the Sales division on 1 February 2024
The Brewery Group has been able to recruit Thomas Drossé, a proven sales expert with an impressive career in the beverage industry, for this role. From 2008 until the middle of last year, Drossé worked at Pernod Ricard Germany, the market leader for premium spirits in Germany based in Cologne, where he was Managing Director of Sales and Trade Marketing from 2012. Before that, the business graduate from the University of Cologne was responsible for sales for retail and catering at Gerolsteiner Brunnen, part of Bitburger Holding (2000-2008), as Head of Key Account Management. He began his career at the Tengelmann Group (1997-2000), where he was responsible for purchasing non-alcoholic drinks, beer and tobacco products as department head. Thomas Drossé has over 25 years of experience in managing and changing large organisations and brings extensive expertise in sales, on- and off-trade as well as customer and supplier management to his new role. Together with Jörg Biebernick as Chairman of the Management Board and Sebastian Strobl as Commercial Director, he will form the Management Board of the Paulaner Brewery Group in future.

Andreas Steinfatt leaves the Paulaner Brewery Group
The joy over the strengthening of the management is clouded by the departure of Andreas Steinfatt from the Paulaner Brewery Group. Steinfatt, who has been with the company since 1995 and a member of the management team since 2006, has decided to embark on a new chapter in his professional career and leave the Paulaner Brewery Group on 29 February 2024 after intensive discussions characterised by mutual appreciation.

"We very much regret Andreas Steinfatt's decision to leave the Schörghuber Group. Through his enormous personal commitment and entrepreneurial skills, he has positively shaped the Paulaner Brewery Group for decades. We would like to thank him from the bottom of our hearts for his great successes, but above all for his unwavering loyalty to his brewery and to us," say Alexandra and Florian Schörghuber on behalf of the entire Schörghuber family. Andreas Steinfatt replies: "I was able to help write the proud history of our brewery for 28 years and continuously develop from a sales employee to Managing Director. This career would not have been possible without the trust and support of my colleagues, but above all the Schörghuber family. I would like to thank the family and all my long-time companions from the bottom of my heart."

The Paulaner Brewery Group is indebted to Andreas Steinfatt - not least for his willingness to continue to fulfil his tasks, including responsibility for and moderation of the Salvator-Probe 2024, with his great enthusiasm and extensive energy until his departure.
