Blue-eyed people tolerate more alcohol than brown-eyed people. But Arvis Sulovari and Dawei Li of the University of Vermont explained in the scientific journal "American Journal of Medical Genetics: Neuropsychiatric Genetics" that they also found a connection between blue eyes and increased alcohol consumption or alcoholism in a study in the USA.

Alcohol dependence occurred more frequently in light-eyed US Americans of European descent with blue, gray or green eyes than in people with dark brown eyes. However, the strongest tendency was seen here with blue eye color.
