Chantré wins German Brand Award and Gold Award of the ISW

The wave of awards for CHANTRÉ continues: At the prestigious German Brand Award at the end of June 2025, Germany's best-selling brandy* brand was named “Winner” in the “Brand Strategy and Creation - Brand Design - Packaging” category. The CHANTRÉ Weinbrand and CHANTRÉ Crème products were already recognized as “Winners” in the “Excellent Communications Design - Packaging” category at the renowned German Design Awards in 2024. CHANTRÉ Crème is also delighted to have won gold at the Meininger's International Spirits Award (ISW).

The German Brand Award has been presented by the German Brand Institute since 2016. It recognizes outstanding brand strategies, innovations and communication measures in various categories and enjoys a high reputation among national and international companies as well as brand experts. In comparison to the German Design Award, the German Brand Award focuses on brand management and brand strategy and assesses how well a brand is positioned, how it communicates its values and how it is perceived in the industry. This year, there were a total of 1,581 participants from eleven nations and one of the winners is CHANTRÉ. With this award, the German Brand Institute recognizes the successful modernization of the brand, which is reflected in the successful relaunch of the timeless brandy classic, among other things.
With the newcomer product CHANTRÉ Créme, the brand has also succeeded in making a convincing brand stretch into a new spirits category and tapping into a new, feminine target group. “An inspiring example”, as the jury stated in its assessment. (Quote from the German Brand Institute, June 2025)
CHANTRÉ's success story continues, as the newcomer CHANTRÉ Crème won over the expert jury in the “Liqueurs/cream liqueurs” category of the ISW blind tasting and was awarded “Gold”. Since 2004, the International Spirits Competition ISW has made it its mission to provide distillers and producers with objective, neutral, expert and detailed feedback on their products. It also provides consumers with reliable quality guidance when making their purchasing decisions. The ISW award is an internationally recognized seal of quality for retailers and consumers thanks to its high profile and widespread use.
The winning products
As part of the relaunch, CHANTRÉ brandy was given a complete makeover at the beginning of 2024: the label on the neck of the characteristic CHANTRÉ bottle was extended and now has a high-quality matt black finish, while the name lettering on the bottle has a lighter and more modern overall appearance without denying its roots. In the user survey, the new design was rated as very attractive by both existing buyers and potential new users and has given a clear image boost in terms of quality and modernity. Parameters that also convinced the international jury of experts.
CHANTRÉ Crème was launched in April 2024. The cream liqueur with the taste of cream and caramel also scores points visually: the light-colored sleeve with pastel-colored elements has a floral-feminine look and thus appeals to a younger, generally female target group.
