Liqueur Tropézienne - The taste of St. Tropez

The new crème liqueur "Liqueur Tropézienne" from Nordbrand Nordhausen combines the Mediterranean lifestyle with the unique flavour of the famous Tarte Tropézienne from St. Tropez. Delicate vanilla, paired with fresh citrus and fine brioche dough. The product will be officially available in stores across Germany from 25 March 2024. The target group is consumers with a desire for the special taste of flavoured crème liqueurs. Liqueur Tropézienne was created together with Robert & Carmen Geiss, who have lived in St. Tropez for over 20 years and epitomise the unique lifestyle of the fashionable fishing village like no other. The Geiss family became famous through their TV programme "Die Geissens" on RTL2, which has guaranteed high viewing figures for 13 years.

Shimmering turquoise water, fresh sea air and the Mediterranean sun on your skin: Liqueur Tropézienne brings the lifestyle of the Côte d'Azur home. It tastes of delicate vanilla, light cream and fresh citrus fruits - inspired by glamorous St. Tropez. The small fishing village with its unique flair has become a magnet for the jet set and glittering personalities from all over the world. And a place of longing for all those who dream of the turquoise Plage Pampelonne with its exclusive beach clubs.

The story behind Liqueur Tropézienne
St. Tropez is the birthplace of the famous "Tarte Tropézienne", which the French actress Brigitte Bardot discovered in a small bakery on Place des Lices in 1955 while working on a film and made internationally famous. The delicious combination of halved brioche and vanilla cream filling not only appealed to Bardot - it also inspired Carmen and Robert Geiss to create Liqueur Tropézienne. The cooperation with the high-reach couple creates awareness in the trade and increases the popularity of the brand.

Consumers can now enjoy the cream liqueur with its special blend of vanilla, citrus and biscuit all year round. Whether for cosy evenings on the sofa, as a delicious digestif or at social gatherings: Liqueur Tropézienne is the cream liqueur for a variety of uses. Simply serve pure on ice and enjoy with a finely chopped orange zest. True to the motto "Just treat yourself", simply indulge yourself. "Flavoured cream liqueurs, especially with cake and dessert variants, are driving the market development of the cream liqueur segment and are once again gaining market share. With an annual growth rate of 4.4%, cream liqueurs have great potential for tapping into new consumer groups.

Together with Robert and Carmen Geiss, who have a wide cross-generational reach, we want to set new standards for sales success with Liqueur Tropézienne," says Patricia Emde, Head of Spirits Marketing at Nordbrand Nordhausen.

Active sales promotion from the POS to prime time on TV
The launch of Liqueur Tropézienne will be accompanied by extensive measures. The newly created website liqueur-tropezienne.de becomes a high-traffic online platform. In addition to the liqueur, high-quality merchandise items such as a beach towel or a set of glasses are available in the webshop. Intensively pushed social media presences on Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest transport the brand directly to the target group.

At the POS, the crème liqueur is presented in the launch phase with an eye-catching neck hanger, wobbler and high-quality exclusive display. Liqueur Tropézienne itself is also a real eye-catcher: the modern bottle design with turquoise-blue waves as the central design element evokes a longing for summer, the beach and the sea. On 25 March 2024, the cream liqueur will celebrate its big TV premiere in the popular show "Die Geissens" on RTL II. With the integration of the brand story into the TV format and recurring placement, Liqueur Tropézienne will receive a considerable boost in attention.

Liqueur Tropézienne has already convinced an independent jury of experts in terms of flavour in this year's blind tasting and has been awarded "Gold" by Meininger’s International Spirits Award (ISW).
