Organic pioneer Neumarkter Lammsbräu presented its public welfare report for the 2024 financial year. The company has made great strides since its first audit, significantly improving on its already excellent results for 2021: the total score across all twenty public welfare indicators rose by more than 16 percent in three years, from 577 to 673 points. This puts Neumarkter Lammsbräu at the forefront, both in comparison with other companies in the beverage and brewing industry and with companies of comparable size. Overall, the auditor notes that Neumarkter Lammsbräu continues to enjoy flagship status within the Economy for the Common Good (GWÖ).
“The report's findings confirm that we are on the right track and spur us on to continue. Lammsbräu's goal is to shape the economy in harmony with people and nature – our focus is on responsibility towards society and the environment,” emphasizes Johannes Ehrnsperger, owner and managing director of Neumarkter Lammsbräu: "The Economy for the Common Good provides us with a sound framework and highlights successes as well as future areas for action. We see the Common Good Balance Sheet as a tool for a continuous development process that, despite all its successes, is not yet complete."
Before the balance sheet is prepared, each company is first put through its paces in an auditing process. In his final report, the auditor highlights the company's decision to generate process heat using heat pumps instead of gas in the future. This is a bold and innovative step that very few companies would take. The auditor is all the more impressed that Neumarkter Lammsbräu wants to carry out this conversion for ecological reasons. Overall, the expert certifies that the company's awareness and level of reflection have increased across all public welfare indicators. The report highlights further strengths:

⦁ Neumarkter Lammsbräu designs its supply chains to be as transparent as possible and actively involves its suppliers in its ecological and social objectives.
