Nordbrand Nordhausen, part of the Rotkäppchen-Mumm Group, is investing in a new building for the production of its wide range of spirits. “The renewal of the process and plant technology could no longer be implemented within the existing building structures,” says Uwe Maurer, Plant Manager at Nordbrand Nordhausen. “Space requirements, the arrangement of systems and buildings and, last but not least, the economic efficiency are key arguments in favor of a new building.”

According to the company management's decision, this new building is to be constructed on the company premises on Bahnhofstrasse when the project starts in May 2025 and will contribute to the modernization and future viability of process solutions in spirits production over the next few years. The funds invested will be in the double-digit million range.

“The cooperation with the authorities, especially with the Nordhausen District Office, has always been very positive in recent years,” emphasizes Markus Jauch, COO Rotkäppchen-Mumm. “We want to build on this with this project and remain in close contact with the upcoming projects.”

This construction project represents an important building block for the development of spirits production in Nordhausen - supported by further investment measures in other areas of the company such as bottling and the site in Erfurter Straße.
