Estrella Damm – “La Cerveza Mediterranea” in Germany: Radeberger Group becomes exclusive distribution and marketing partner

From January 2026, the Radeberger Group will take over the exclusive distribution and marketing of Estrella Damm in Germany. Brand owner Grupo Damm is thus transferring responsibility for the national expansion of its best-selling brand to Germany's market-leading brewery group.

The long-term cooperation agreement for Estrella Damm covers all distribution channels – from retail to beverage wholesalers and the hospitality industry to delivery services. The Radeberger Group is thus strengthening its growing international portfolio, which already includes established brands such as Guinness®, Hop House 13, and Staropramen Premium Lager. It succeeds gdp Global Drinks Partnership.
Mediterranean lightness
“The successful development of international brands under our leadership has convinced Grupo Damm that we will also promote its most important brand in Germany,” says Jörn Goertz, head of marketing responsible for the Radeberger Group's international portfolio, which is bundled in the Gesellschaft für Importbiere und Bierspezialitäten (GIB).
“The ‘Star of Barcelona’ is already well known far beyond the Mediterranean region. Estrella Damm currently conveys a feeling of vacation, lightness, and joie de vivre to people in 95 countries around the world. In Germany, too, we will win over cosmopolitan consumers who like to enjoy life in a ‘Mediterranean way’ with our Spanish lager.”
Fresh, light, and balanced
Estrella Damm is a fresh, light lager beer characterized by its golden, slightly amber color. Its aroma offers a balanced blend of hops and lightly roasted grains, creating a smooth finish.
Brewed in Barcelona according to the original recipe from 1876 using only natural ingredients – water, barley malt, rice, hop extract, and hops – Estrella Damm is bottled for the German market by the Radeberger Group at its Dortmund location. The new addition to its portfolio will be available in 0.33-liter returnable bottles (24-bottle brand crates and six-packs), 0.33-liter cans, and 30-liter kegs.
Sales support with charisma
At the start of 2026, the Radeberger Group will provide its sales partners with extensive marketing materials – from eye-catching displays and posters for retailers to promotional materials for restaurants and bars. Estrella Damm will also be integrated into the group's event and festival business and supported by sales promotion measures. An online campaign and social media measures are also planned to further build the brand.
