Sweet and mild, well-balanced and tangy in taste: with the national expansion of its range with Oberbräu Hell, the Warsteiner Group is rounding off its portfolio for retail and gastronomy. Thus, from the end of February 2022, in addition to the popular beer types Pilsener, wheat beer and Altbier, a further light beer will be added throughout Germany. The tradition-conscious Helle is geared to the taste of the times and is aimed at a broad target group of consumers who prefer drinkable, mild beers. After all, Helles, the traditional Bavarian beer, has also been growing strongly outside the Free State for years.1 "We are delighted to finally be able to offer our traditional Oberbräu Hell to a wider audience," explains Marcus Wendel, Director Marketing of the Warsteiner Group, and adds: "From spring 2022, we will be bringing Bavarian brewing tradition to consumers throughout Germany, because our Oberbräu Hell has been brewed since 1605 in the original home of Hell beers - the Bavarian Oberland."

New design scores with Bavarian brewing tradition since 1605
Oberbräu Hell also remains true to its origins in the product design. Both the chapel on the neck label and the traditional costume couple on the belly label are based on the brewing location of Holzkirchen, in whose corporate design the motifs have been centrally anchored since its founding in 1605. In addition, Oberbräu Hell with its light blue and white diamonds not only relies on the learned colour codes of the Hell brand world, but also on its Bavarian homeland and the continuation of the over 400-year-old brewing tradition.

New container with a strong focus on sustainability
Oberbräu Hell is available to the trade in the 0.5-litre returnable bottle in the 20 x 0.5-litre crate as well as in the 6 x 0.5-litre open basket and in the 30-litre and 50-litre keg for the catering trade. A new crate made of 100 per cent recycled granulate was also developed especially for the new product. In the course of 2022, Oberbräu Hell will also switch to labels made from completely recycled material.
