Precise Alcohol Determination in Non-Alcoholic Beers Using Enzymatic Reference Analysis
News General news
Non-alcoholic beers must meet strict legal requirements while delivering the taste consumers expect. For breweries, this makes precise verification of ultra-low alcohol levels essential – especially for products close to the legal limit.
Anton Paar’s Enzymatic Reader enables selective alcohol determination in non-alcoholic beer from 0.000 % v/v to 0.050 % v/v, with a resolution down to 0.0001 % v/v. Using enzymatic electrochemical analysis, the system provides reliable results in under four minutes per sample, supporting fast quality control directly in the brewery laboratory.
The compact module can be operated as a standalone device or integrated into existing Anton Paar measurement systems, combining enzymatic and NIR-based alcohol analysis to analyze a wide range of products. Additional modules in the measurement system, automated data handling, connectivity to AP Connect, and operator-independent workflows help ensure traceable, consistent quality assurance down to the lowest alcohol levels.
