With growing demand for alcoholic ready-to-drink (RTD) beverages such as whiskey-cola, precise analysis throughout the product life cycle has become essential. During aging, sugar inversion takes place, a process that can change perceived sweetness and alter sample density by up to 0.002 g/cm3. The Packaged RTD Measurement System combines density, sound velocity, and NIR spectroscopy to determine inversion-corrected density, alcohol, and extract values directly from sealed containers.
Additional chemometric models for sucrose, HFCS 42/55, and diet formulations ensure consistent results across product types, providing a traceable analytical link between production calibration and packaged product verification.
